BiggerFoot Bash - Sept. 10th - Drifting - Kent

City: Kent, WA
Location: Pacific Grand Prix
Date: September 10, 2011
Time: Gates open to spectators at 10:00 AM. Driving starts at 10:45 AM and ends at 5:30 pm.

This event is going to be the final drift event of 2011 at Pacific Grand Prix and we are going out with a bang. This event is going to be very spectator friendly in addition to being an amazing event for drivers. Pacific Grand Prix has chosen to close the drivers list to this event to get a lot of driving talent out on the track to ensure the best show possible! The grand finale will be a half hour of all cars on the track. With this talent all being on track its going to be an amazing tandem train!

$15 for entrance to the event
$25 for entrance and pass for ridealongs

Schedule:

10:00 am - Gates open for spectators

10:45 am - 2:30 pm - There will be hotlapping in both directions from

2:30 pm - 3:00 pm - Go Kart Rental Intermission where spectators and drivers can get out on the track and race the rental karts

3:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Team Tandem Competition.

5:05 pm - 5:25 pm - The Grand Finale

Awards thereafter!

There will be food, beer garden, DJ, and hopefully some lovely September weather!

So come out and spread the word Top drivers from Oregon, Washington, and BC will be competing and putting on a show! This will be the last Drift Event at Pacific Grand Prix for 2011 so lets go out with style!

We are also working on a car show portion to the event so check back for updates.

Media- If you want to shoot at PGP but haven't filled out a media app with PGP then email juli@pacificgp.com and ask for a media app. Then show up at the next event and sign in as media when you pay your entry. You will be given your credentials then. Again I say there are limited spots so I recommend you show up early.

-Rob

Hell ya I'm running! Last one of the season! Going to be a huge, awesome event. Got my ammo, I'm ready to go!

Got my little harbor freight trailer and hitch all setup and registered too. Excited to be able to bring all my tires in 1 trip without help.

Will do LCD, get your butt out here so you can join us next time! The track is too amazing to not. I saw your last video, and it looks like you guys have good fun, but the track is so narrow down there. You are laying down some good runs from what I saw.

After this event my cars going under the knife for some more fun.

Awesome. I'm supposed to be in the area, so I might be able to make it out to one last event. I had a good time there back in June?

I'll eventually make it up there. But PARC and Loki run year around so you should think about coming down before you put it away for the winter. It's one of the most technical tracks I've ever run and will really test you and your car. Theirs a bunch of 240 kids out there that think it isn't that great and that they can run like pros but truth be told they can only link 2 corners at a time.... very slowly, lol. Drift fanboys.

I'll be there in the spectators section. No LSD, no drift.

Just a little graphic to compare the difference in PARC, PGP, and Evergreen at the same google maps zoom. lol

Yeah, parc is super tight. Are you mainly in first most the time? Just curious.

Nope, all 2nd except for the back section which sometimes you can do in 3rd, depending on how much speed you carry out of the tight section.

Tomorrow!

Waking up early tomorrow to load the trailer onto the 7.

Going to be super hot, so if you come out, I really recommend some sun screen. Not much shade out there.

Thanks, but my name is Michael (Tweak) , I was just quoting Rob's northwestnissans.com post. lol I had a lot of fun, but it's time to shut the car down for the season and get serious. I need MOAR grip, more speed, and a lot more safety equipment. (cage mainly) Might throw a cam in there for the sheer stupidity.

Good to hear Ferrariferg! I hope to see you out there again next year! (if they do it again next year)

Thanks for coming out, I'm sorry but did I see you guys at the event? I remember army of 1, but it was a HOT busy day and I'm hella tired.

Came out of the event with only a sun burn and 2 busted wheel studs. Can NOT complain! Even saved 1 complete pair of tires! That's a first.

Video from Laren's cam. I was GOING to tandem the SR20 FC, but he decided to turn right on a left turn (must have watched the movie cars before coming out) and ate barrier. Ran out of tires towards the end of this session .

Thank you very much! Get out there sooner next time and get on the ride list! It's a whole different game inside the car! I love to give rides. Seeing a first timer's face light up reminds me of when I started drifting and being able to link the corners. I literally had a girl yesterday tell me I hurt her face from smiling so hard for so long. Makes the day awesome.

Nice to meet you too, sorry that I didn't have more time to talk and show you around the car and such. I had a hell of a time getting a sticky tire to bead, and when I busted a wheel stud I was a little worried. lol Hope to see you out there again next year.

Had tons of fun and I even remembered to put on sun screen! I ended up hanging out the Matt-Panic! and Mark-Panic! for most of the day. Did meet one member and we went and poked around my car a bit but I can't remember his screen name. I'm sure most of you saw my car since after making a gas run for Mark-Panics!'s Cressida I said screw it and parked right outside of the pits.

That video is Meh, the only interesting part is when I literally left another FC in the dust.

Hit me up next year for sure.

If you guys don't mind, I will just post some videos of the event as they get released.

This a short teaser video made by David Hintze.

Another short phone camera video from a passenger on one of our tandem runs. (not sure if you have to have a facebook account to see it)

-7.5* is enough, perfect for the knuckles, and I have absolutely NO understeer. Not sure what video you are watching but it isn't one of my car.

You may be confusing the look of understeer with my wheels countersteering at ~68.5 degrees. I have not measured it recently after some adjustments. XD

Close to full lock, perfect contact patch.
