best drink!

well, i'm an old man. been drinkin too long. usually it's a beer cause i'm cheap. after all i'm a sa owner. well i've had some good ones in my younger days.started young with southern comfort and lemonade. got addicted to purple passions( an old grape flavored everclear based wine cooler like drink back in 90. also started drinking a snowball i called it. others called it my death( granted i was in my early 20's) half shot 151 half rumplemintz. great drink, messed you up fast. cost a bit. went down smooth, a little chilly, yet very devestating. then came the scooby snack. in a gobbler you put rumplemints, 151, goldslager, and a dash of kalua! tasted like the old throught lozenges used too. kinda liqurish tasting. that would mess you up quick. and of course the old mans bloody marry. love those. gotta have alot of vodka in it though. hell, anything would taste good with vodka in it. not monarch vodka though...... good stuff. tea, was pretty good also, just about anything. stick the vodka in the freezer and my old friend Mo called it holly water!!!!. well, tonight i bought my wife a Monster energy drink. she didn't like it. so i mixed half and half with vodka! needless to say after 2 i am pretty messed up. can barely taste the vodka! can't at all now! just thought i would share that with you all. probably no new idea, i've seen people with red bull in the ars. but this was good.

half and half? That's hardcore doooood!

Anyways, a good drink is Mack & Jack's BEER. Nice, sweet, mildly dark, frothy. ONLY available via KEG. They believe their profits will lessen if they try to switch to bottles. I disagree.

Jager-bombs are pretty tasty in my opinion Jagermeister and Red Bull (or any energy drink) and just pound it. Another one that gets you meesed up quick is "Flaming-Dr Pepper" which is a glass full of beer (12oz) and a shot with 151 and a splash Amaretto lit on fire and then dropped into the beer and pounded... At the end of the drink there is a slight taste of Dr Pepper to it. Of course that was our modified version of the drink actaul recipe calls for
1/2 glass of beer (6oz)
3/4 shot of Amaretto
1/4 shot of 151
light the 151
let burn for a little while
drop into glass of beer
pound it

I just do straight shots of vodka. I'll have a pop or something to chase it with, but basically have a glass with vodka, take a chug, chase with pop, and you barely taste anything. Once I chugged a 16 ounce glass of vodka all at once, chased with half a can of sprite, and well... I forget the rest

If you want something mixed, Mike's Hard lemonade + vodka. I call it a Mike's Hard Lemondrop.

Monarch is okay when you're broke, or don't feel like spending much. Spend a little over 20 bucks and you got yourself a half gallon, that'll last a while. Chug and chase, never taste it.

Monarch was the **** in the 16 ounce glass of vodka I chugged all at once. Woo! Now that'll wake up your senses! I never breathed so clear through my nose after that. From what I remember anyways.

1/2 Celtic Crossing, 1/2 Baileys Irish Cream (or similar) for a good smooth drink.
If you want something not so hard, pour some into a cup of chocolate milk/shake... i usually do about 3oz into i think about 12 oz....
Then there is always just seagrams vodka

hmm all interesting drinks. I have to agree with Kettle's though. A ton of alcohol and very very tasty. I have always enjoyed the group drinks though. One that has always been a little tough for me though is a saki bomb.

-Everyone gets a 32oz glass of their beer of choice, two chopsticks and a shot of saki.

-On top of the beer glass you place the two chopsticks so that they are laying across the glass and then you set the shot of saki on the chopsticks.

-The "leader" pounds their hand on the counter and the chopstick fall out from underneath the glass.

-When this happens you chug the entire drink.

-The winner gets to be the leader and then you start all over.

I'll have to try that one.

We call that one liquid Crack.

I've always found Jager to taste like Robitussin cough syrup. Bad memories.

Malibu in Fresca, if you want a really good tasting drink that wont F you up to bad. Capt./Coke. Comfort/Coke. Jack/Coke. Anyone ever had Jack and Mt. Dew? Sounds gross, but its pretty good. I had a blended Mojito up in Vanuver, that was one of the best tasting drinks Ive ever had. I think it was a really nice rum, an a shitload of mintleavres, Im not sure what else. Damn good though. And Redbull Martinis. Damn. If your ever in Vancuver, check out Gregs On Top, and order the afformentioned drinks.

I've never been too keen on mixing alcohol with caffiene. That kind of mixture isn't supposed to be good for you and your heart. Since one is a depressant and one is a stimulant.

And if you're a real man try 151 straight.
Ouch!!! Not since my younger and dumber days. That will turn the stomach.

When I was younger, I would drink anything, but most of it conspired to get me either too sick to ever drink it again or in deep trouble with The Man. Mad Dog 20/20, Wild Turkey, Jaegermeister, Schnapps, 151, yadda yadda. My Army stories alone could fill a book...like the time I beat a guy into unconciousness for reasons I forget (Jungle Juice); the time a friend fell down the stairs, cut his head open, got taken to the hospital by the MPs, took a swing at the doctor who tried giving him stitches, ran away from his First Sergeant, got busted down to PV1, fined $1,000 and had no memory of any of it the next morning (Wild Turkey); the time a friend decided to climb up the side of the barracks to his room rather than get caught drunk by the CQ (Charge of Quarters), fell and busted up his knee, got carried to his room by some other buddies while I distracted the CQ, stayed up all night in pain, limped to PT in the morning and then flopped on the ground (in very real pain) pretending that excersize hurt him (Jaegermeister); the time I set my hand on fire doing a flaming shot, then that same evening got stuck on a trip to Manheim, Germany with my commanding officer, having to hide my blistered hand everytime he turned around to talk to me, then getting my *** chewed out for "destruction of government property" (me) when I got back and could not hide the burns -- curiously, he did believe my rediculous cover-story that it was zippo lighter fluid that burnt me, so I didn't get an Article 15 (Bacardi 151); or the time...uh, nevermind. Beer did it's fair share too. I went to Oktoberfest -- the real one -- four times and have no idea how I got home three of those times (the fourth time, I didn't get home...D'oh!).

The memories of those wild times are great, but I'll be damned if I want to repeat them. Now, I tend to drink in moderation and nothing very creative. Jack & Cokes, Gin & Tonics, Vodka & Tonics, Vodka Martinis, White Russians, a good single-malt scotch, etc...but not too many and not very often. And, I usually just drink beer if I have anything at all. I don't recover from hangovers as good as I did back in my twenties and I'm pretty sure I'd be in jail at the rate I was going 15 years ago. That's not to say I have not overdone it recently, but now it's more like once or twice a year instead of once or twice a week, and the "overdone" part is gauged by the discomfort in the morning instead of the trouble brewed at night.
