Anyone in Tacoma / Seattle area know about FD's?
Alright my car has been in the garage now for a year, and Im really wanting to get it running right. I have a few issues with it right now, problem is I dont know really know much about rotary. When I bought my FD it ran fine and my good friend was helping me with it (he talked me into getting one because he had one), now he is moved from the area and gone. Im really just looking to connect with people that have FD's or are knowledgeable about rotaries, I need more Mazda friends, maybe come down help me out a little bit, BBQ and Beer on me! So if anyone is generous enough to share some of their time and knowledge and help me out I would be very grateful. I just dont want to go to a shop and get raped.
I posted in the general 3rd gen forum but not getting much of a response there, this is what I wrote.........
Hey so the other day I went out driving and all was fine, on the way home I got on it kinda hard and it kinda felt like the power just cut out for a second, when I came to a stop light the car died. I started it up and it died right away, started it up and as it was dying i pressed the gas but it seem like rpms were barely getting up so i floored it while in neutral waiting at the light to get the car to stay running. Once the rpms got up i let off and had to keep the pedal pressed a little bit to keep it running. I got it home ok and left it. I also noticed that after that power cut feeling the sound from the exhaust was quite different, more raspy and sounded dryer if that makes sense.
Today I changed out the spark plugs thinking maybe i fouled out one of my plugs, gave it an oil change while i was down there and when it started up it was ok, still sounded different but it ran just fine at idle. I let it warm up most the way and took it around the block, by the time i got back home it was at full temperature and I was experiencing the same problems, it would die if i let off the gas and to keep it running i have to keep my pedal down slightly.
Any help, advice would be awesome...

What seal could be chipped? and No I have not compression tested it yet, where could I get that done? How could I check if its the coolant temp sensor?
When I drive it as long as I am driving its fine, and the power feels pretty normal. Its just when the car is fully warmed up it will die at idle, otherwise when its cold it idles fine.
