It's gotta be faster than that. I have read that new 600's run in the 10's.

I dunno about tens, perhaps. I have had some friends who needed a few mods to hit that. I don't care what the company says, I'll wait 'till a magazine does it or somebody I know. Every year the 600's seem to close the performane gap on the liter bikes a bit, probably due to weight and being slimmer. I don't think liter bikes will ever go away though, some people want that extra torque and crazy top-end in one package.

I just sold my '03 CBR600RR today, now I have a down for the '07 Daytona 675 woooo!

600 or 1000 either one kills you the same way And either one gets you up in the "straight to jail zone" way to easy, But just the mid range power is fun on a liter bike.

1 Liter seems like a bit of overkill

I don't really care if I can go fast enough to kill myself in one car length, two car lengths, or even three. And yes, I am intimidated by the weight and power of a big superbike.

I built myself a nice, light, nimble sportbike, with modern brakes and handling. It is Suzuki RGV250 chassis with a Yamaha Banshee 350 motor (2 stroke), custom bodywork including a modified R1 tailpiece, weighs 300 pounds and has about 60 HP. It is fast enough to scare me and will corner a lot faster than my brain is calibrated for!

any modern sportbike is stupid fast. Sometimes I wonder why I ride. It seems like a death trap but I enjoy every minute of it.
