Anyone a member at ORP?
I just moved to the Tri-Cities (Washington) area and it looks like Oregon Raceway Park is likely to be my new home for the summer...
Just wondering if anyone on here is a club member and wouldn't mind showing me around and/or letting me use one of your guest passes so I can check out the track before I buy a membership?
Also if anyone can give me any pros/cons of any of the local tracks or groups to run with that would be awesome!
On a side note I probably will be running the Lotus this year at the track as the FD is all torn apart for its 20B transplant, hopefully no one will hate me too much for that....
Thanks,
Pat

Check out MotorsportReg | racing, track day, HPDE, autocross & karting events for track days at ORP. A bunch of the local clubs hosts. I've driven with team continental, porsche, bmw, audi club. I've also been to a couple club days at ORP and they are great!!! Pretty much unlimited track time!!! If I had the time, I would be a club member. ORP is such a fun track....both cw & ccw.

Thanks for the reply! So is there just a lot less people at club days? I like the fact that they have so many days scheduled at the start of the year, it would make it easy for me to find time to go. Just not sure if it is worth the money when I will probably only make it to 4-5 days a year. I looked for track day groups but it looks like the first one at ORP isnt until June, I'd like to get at least one day in before then. I may just end up going over to Pacific Raceways instead, but that is a much farther drive for me...

So, that looks like training only? Do they have non-instructor groups like a normal track day? I wouldn't mind having an instructor in the car for the first session to help me learn the lines, but I don't need or want to spend half the day in a classroom or to have an instructor in the car with me all day...

I'd definitely recommend an instructor first time out at ORP to learn the line. They're usually pretty good on signing off after a couple sessions if you don't want the extra weight.

Awesome! My team mates will be driving a red FB on Saturday. I'll be coming out Saturday evening for the race on Sunday! I recommend filling up w/ gas at Biggs Junction (hwy 84&97). There's also non-ethanol gas at the track.
