anyone loose their FD?
hahah ok, so im getting off the off ramp at portal way and grandview in ferndale and i see a few cars blocking the intersection, one with their hazzards on, and guess what it was... a green FD, then as we come to the stop sign we ask this lady whats wrong, the lady"i dont know what happend, this truck was towing this car (FD) on a trailer and the car fell off and started rolling at me."
the people towing the car were gone! they didnt even know that the car fell off and the people who were behind them had no clue what to do about the car but turn the hazzards on. i came back later to see if it was still there but it was gone and all that was left was a giant oil slick, im guessing the oil pan got crushed during the fall or something.
so my question is who lost their fd? how did you not feel the car fall off your trailer? have you ever heard of tiedown and ratchet straps?

haha thats a funny thought, i was in my buddy big tow rig and this was one of the only times that night we didnt have a trailer hooked up lol, other wise we would have towed it up and moved it to the gas station to watch the fool come looking for it lol.... finders keepers haha

Exactly, Jeff. Wirth how Cops treat stolen property it's not worth your time to ask them for help. Get a GPS unit and hide it well. Take matters into your own hands. Or tell the police you have a GPS system and know exactly where your car is and you would like them to go get it back for you. Don't rely on them to do anything tho. Hopefully it was a repo or something. Anyone who would allow their FD to roll right off their trailer is undeserving of such a car. FAIL! When I once had to trailer mine I was turned around the entire time worried something would happen ot my car. Watched the tie downs religiously lol May be pathetic... But I lov emy car to death

Yes, I too watch tow straps and keep an eye on the car over bumps and stuff. I think any normal person would. Whomever was towing that FD obviously wasn't with it.
The problem with lojack is you have to file a police report every time you use it. What a bunch of crap.
There is a cool GPS setup that has a lot of great features. My friend installed a couple after having a car stolen. You can set up a "geo-fence" and other cool stuff. I think it's called milleneum plus GPS.

Clifford has an option on some of their alarms to have a GPS unit added to the brain and you can activate your kill switch from your online log in if your car is stolen. Or if you have remote start start it from where you are to get it warming up. Pretty expensive monthly membership fee tho. Too steep for me. There are better units out there. My old company that I worked for had GPS in their trucks that auto updated every 15 minutes. Helped em find a van that was stolen.

new to the rotary world
not trying to start a fight but why dont you think lowjack works??? they have a 80% change of getting your car back. that is just 80% better then just hoping nobody steals my car. that is why i would go with both

i just want to know lol, i mean how can you not feel the car falling off because even with ramps the trailer moves a **** ton when you roll off, so with no ramps just the drop off it would have been jumping like crazy.
