Anyone local ...

I've got a repu 13b on the floor of my garage that someone used autolite or similar plugs in, the short shoulder kind. I've tried everything I can think of to get the damned plugs out, but ended up breaking the tips off and etc. I won't be using the same plugs, so I am not spending 75-100 bucks on a thin walled socket I'll only use once! If anyone has one I can borrow, I'd sure appreciate it. I tried grinding one down and ruined 2 sockets already. LOL

RB wants 70 plus for the thin walled snap on socket, Mazdatrix wants even more. Motor looks to be in good shape. If I can get the leading plugs out I'm gonna check the compression and verify it's good to go. Otherwise I'm going to pull it apart and verify that. Then I'm not sure. Got an S5 and this repu motor on the floor next to my Z. And getting a roller soon. Also have an old school sp 12a and a great condition 12a being ported (also have a twin dizzy 12a complete). The GSL-SE 13b in my 7 now has a noticeable amount of flaking on the housings, but runs well. But won't be rebuildable without new housings. Thought about making a frankenstien 4 port, with the tall 12a sp irons and the repu housings. All I know is I have far too many motors, and not enough cars to put em in. Ideas? Suggestions?

Nobody has a thin walled socket?! I'd be willing to pay shipping to have ya send it, then ship it right back. I only need it for 2 minutes. LOL

I have wanted to build a frankenstein for years. Using 12A plates and 13B housings.
Looks like you got your work cut out for ya! Good luck finding that socket.

The GLC is getting one of those, but I'll port the tall Y plates to 74 spec to keep things kinda stockish. Well, stock for 74 anyway.

Good luck on that socket. Maybe try Mazdas and More?

Try a hammer and chisel counter clockwise if you can reach it down there.

use a bench grinder and thin out the tip of a normal spark plug socket, then grind the lip off the housings when you get them out. if your not pulling the motor apart plug the holes.

Well unfortunately, I pulled the motor apart and the housings were toast.
