So this is a shot in the dark, but I'm troubleshooting my GSL-SE and I'd like to swap in a different rear end for diagnostic purposes. Doesn't have to be LSD, just something that fits. If it's the non GSL-SE lug pattern, I'd need to borrow the wheels as well.

If you have one you could part with for a few days or know someone who does, let me know.

Do you need the whole axle, or would just the center section work?

Perhaps describe your issues/problems and we might be able to help you avoid a lot of work :-)

Center section? You mean the diff pumpkin? Probably better to just have the whole rear end.

I'd like to avoid the work myself, so I might start by pulling the axles out and seeing if they're bent.

Have you pulled the driveshaft and checked that the u-joints move smoothly and freely? Sounds to me the most likely cause.

Remember that a driveshaft vibration will be at engine speed in 4th gear, an axle vibration will be much slower, i.e., wheel speed.
