Anyone else from Ak?

Hello everyone! Im new from to the forum from Alaska. I just bought a 93 FD single turbo R1. It was originally red but painted white by a previous owner. I just wanted to say hello and possibly catch up with some ak folks if there are any around.

Ryan

I thought Seattle was bad for being a car guy. How many months a year can you drive a sports car in Anchorage?

I can drive my speed3 year round with the snow and ice tires i have on it but i have a DD to keep the miles off of it. Its crazy in the snow with around 330 wtq and fwd lol! As for sports cars though... I would say mid to end of April through about the mid to end of October. I good friend of mine has a 97 TT Supra that sits in his garage during the winter. His wife drives a G35 sedan year long though. It really depends on tires because you could drive year round but the thought of some idiot smashing into your expensive sports car keeps them in the garage!

Hi Ryan and welcome.
There are a few guys from AK on here. I'm sure they will chime in here and there.

haha something like that. Not quite 20 hours but pretty close to it during the summer solstice. It plays tricks on your mind and messes up your sleep schedule a bit but you eventually get used to it. There is a yellow FD up here that is friggen sweet. I have only seen it once. Quite a few FB's and FC's too. There are a few more turbo FDs but nothing like the yellow mica car. I have never met him. My FD will be staying in Texas. I dont want to bring it up here where I already have three cars! lol
