Hmmm, if that is Cast material, I have nickel rod for welding cast iron.
But that is a internal wastegate and it is under a lot of stress and heat.
Welding is only a temporary measure. A replacement flapper from a Turbo refitter might be your best bet. New is better than bandaids.
If you still want it welded, we can do it, got all the tools to grind and finish it and make it look nice.

Or....we weld it shut and you use a external wastegate.

Lloyd,
wanted to say thank you for such a wonderful time at the bbq. Once again a top notch gathering of great friends, had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the sit down and chat session we had. Also wanted to thank Chad(jhreg) for letting Shelly and I drive his car to the meet as my car has a blown engine. Can not wait to see You project completed and on the track.

Lloyd, thanks so much for keeping this going. I am so glad I could finally make it, now I know what I have been missing all these years. I will make it a point in life to make time to come up and visit. I'll get some pics from my son and post up as well.

Again thank you and your family for a wonderful day.

Yes the compressor wheel is already scribed.
Welding turned out great!
Going to purchase a turbo rebuild. Is every one certain it is a garret t3? The guys at Alamo called it a Hitachi so I just want to make sure before I but

Thank for having us Lloyd!
