as some may have caught my last posting of my first adventures out in my new (to me) fb rally car i was able to take part in my favorite rally of the whole year, the Mt Hood rally based out of Hood River OR.

being my second rally with the car i felt i had a better feel for the car and was able to drive faster then when i did at my first rally. the Mt Hood Rally is the only rally around here that allows you to make "recce" runs of the stages we are racing on. so with 2 passes on each road and my co driver with pen and paper we made a written version of the road to be called out during each running of the stage.

We were spot on with our notes. honestly i don't think we could make better notes then we did for this event. and our position at the end of the rally showed that. 9th over all, 2nd in our class and 3rd 2wd. We were really happy with our out come.

we even pulled off an honest to god stage win over a WRX and plenty of other AWD cars.

I was just in the seat of a rally car, gotta love offroad racing

 

there is nothing like in my experience. the challenge of racing off road is so much better then pavement. but that's just me, i like the none stop sliding and kicking the *** end out.
