Well its at the muffler shop right now .

I was half considering buying 2 mufflers and the piping, having it bent, and doing it myself with my uncle. But I smacked some sence into myself when I really looked into it. Its going to be 2 flowmaster 30's, 3" pipe, no cat, from the downpipe to the tip. Shouldnt be bad at all. But at $400, I was hoping to do better, but hey, its warrentied and im pretty sure I can get him down $100.

Also picked up a Lincoln SP 135plus today for $80 .

To the "tip" as in single? Or is it going to be dual still?

Single, mufflers in serial, one after the downpipe, one at the stock location.

You'd get better flow if you ran them in parallel with dual pipes.

Quote from a recent exhaust discussion thread:

Split pipe into duals has a greater potential for higher flow with lower noise. Mufflers basically work by being a restriction to exhaust flow. Fluids follow laws very similar to electronics (wiring parallel resistors).
Take one muffler and you get a restriction. Take two of the same muffler, put them in parallel, and you get a higher drop in noise and less restriction than the single.
and

I merely stated what the laws of physics dictate. Two equal mufflers plumbed in parallel will flow more and create less noise than the same muffler plumbed as a single.
Unless, of course, you used VERY tiny piping...

I realize that, and origonaly I wanted to do a RB catback. However I would be afraid this would locally end up costing over $500+ for a true dual. So for now it will work.

Exhaust is built, but I liked the sound better when there was no exhaust. Sounded more like a V8 than a rotary.

You know Spyder, I herd that you wouldn't let the person who was footing the bill for this build to give it a test drive, that you would only let him ride a long, Is this true ? The peaple of the forum have to know the facts.

Bob can have as much fun as he wants in it . After the intercooler piping is done and atleast some of the tuning has been done.

I want him to be able to get in to it, turn the key, romp the **** out of it, and not have it fall to peices .

Plus the whole 8mpg is just sad....
