im working on a rebuild (1980), now i'm collecting parts. I let all my rx7 stuff go years back. looking very forward to some meets. I am wanting to get some central and eastern washington events together. thanks for starting this thread!

 

How about a BC and Washington meet in Bellingham this year? Do A Chuckanut Drive Drive.

No plans at the moment. Let's keep in touch. April or May would be best. More cars on the road. We may do a Sevens Day on the evening of July 7th (Friday this year); target 20-25 cars.

 

Hello Everyone!

As this year's President of Rotary Power Northwest (RPNW), I'd be more than happy to post our events as they are planned. This includes drives, track events, etc.

We've got a go-kart event scheduled for 01/19/2017 at Sy-Kart in Tigard, OR. If this is successful, we're going to try and make it a monthly or bi-monthly thing.

Also, our charity dyno day was pretty successful last year and I'd like to do it again this year.

 

We had a great time at SyKart in Tigard. We're going to make it a monthly event. Third Thursday of every month at 6:30PM. Everyone is welcome!

 

^Marc? lol. I'm definitely game to make it a monthly event. We'll need to figure out the deposit situation, but that's not a biggie.

Once I put the rx7 back together, I plan on making it to Cars and Coffee more often (now that I have Saturday's off).

 

Can we get something going for the Spokane area? Track days are only $100 at SCR and all that is required is a helmet. It would be awesome to have a get together for breakfast/coffee then head to the track on the first track day, April 1st.

Whatever happened to the Del Taco Meets in Federal Way?
I don't have a Facebook but whoever does should post a help tech day to get the rx7's back on the road. I got a few fc's just needing Bodywork and paint one needs a motor no rush on that one.

There is still a monthly meet at the izzys pizza in Olympia off exit 107 of i5 it's every second Monday of the month at 7pm.

 

RPNW is meeting on 4/5 at Round Table Pizza off Barbur BLVD in Portland. All are welcome!
Sykart indoor karting is being held on 4/20 at 6:30PM in Tigard. http://www.sykart.com

I won some money at IFO back in the day.

 

Ill be moving to whidbey island this year and was wanting to get some track time. besides the spokane raceway mentioned above, are there some good tracks in my vicinity?

 

I like the Ridge and Pacific Raceways for track days, and Bremerton sports car club for autocross.

The izzys meet in olympia is pretty much dead. We may try to resurrect it this summer. We'll see. Unfortunately with armyofone (Jesus) returning home to Germany, I haven't been able to justify showing up.

 

Inb4: Westcoast Rotary "Sevens Day" will be hosted by Force Fed on Peardonville Road in Abbotsford on Friday July 7th. Start time is not decided yet. In recent times cars from Washington have been showing up at Force Fed for upgrades and reliability builds. We hope to see some return for this event. We have 84 rotary enthusiasts in our chat now and there is a lot of buzz for this event. Hope to see you there! Some great third gear back country roads around Abbotsford. Make a weekend trip of it.

 

Hey Mark, do you guys ever do basic setup get togethers?

Have had this thing sitting around for a while, and still need help with it. Asked a few times, seemed like the timing was always off to get help.

Want it to be closer to a daily driver type of setup in terms of reliability and drivability. If you remember the car...you helped install the MSD ignition!
