Description:

For sale, a complete set of 6 Racing Beat Aluminum filled Carbon Apex seals for 1979-1985 Mazda 12A engines with a full set of 6 special carbon apex seal springs.

These lightweight one piece seals are most often used in racing engines because they are much less likely to damage rotors and rotor housing than the standard metal seals.

The factory in Japan that used to supply these seals to Racing Beat was put out of business by the 2011 tsunami and they are now very rare and hard to find.

Although Racing Beat removed them from their catalog years ago, Atkins Rotary still has a NLA description on their website; when available they were $402 for a set of six seals plus shipping:

https://www.atkinsrotary.com/Racing-...Set-11012.html

Racing Beat still sells the special carbon apex seal springs, they’re $23.10 each plus shipping:

https://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1975-...nal/11016.html

These seals and springs were recovered from a recently built street port 12A that spun a bearing on an early start up. The housings and irons from that engine are in perfect rebuildable condition.

The seals and springs are like new, with no signs of damage or wear. Please let me know if you need any additional information or pictures.

Thanks for looking!

Can u measure with digital calipers? Height width and length.
I see some pitting and edges look warped.
