Description:
I've been on the fence for 5 years about selling this car I've had since 2002. And I'm giving someone the chance to knock me off. Price is firm. I have over $60k and 3000 hours into this car. You can see many of my mods here: www.3rdgenrx7.com
I stopped updating that list in 2009 but kept modifying the car up to 2015 when I moved to Seattle. The car has been garage kept and driven 1-2 times a year since then. Recently I decided to give up my parking space so now it is outside for the first time in 2 decades.
Things I can think of that are not listed on the website:
Link G4+ ecu (wideband integrated for closed loop tuning)
Mazdaspeed vented hood replica in carbon fiber
Brand new optima Red battery.
Engine has <2k on it. Tuned to spring weight only (9psi)
I have a 5th rim for the set with a new, but plugged tire.
I have a water injection kit that I've never installed and a spare rotor housing that will go with the car plus other bits.
It is a salvage title (history not known but it appeared to be a fuel tank fire that totalled it - no crash damage ever detected and the interior has been completely restored.) Black base cloth seats.
The car runs well except the thermostat has stuck twice from sitting I think (temp never exceeded 110C) and the drive train needs replaced (trans and diff). The hood needs about an hour of work to help the fit (super easy) and there is a small hole in the driver's side carpet. It will need new tires. The gauge cluster stopped working and will likely need solder refresh. There are 2 minor dings, one on the driver's side door and one on the roof. Drivers side door plastic needs replaced. That's everything I can think of that needs to be fixed.
The car is in Seattle. Message me for more info. I'm sure I've forgotten to include a bunch of stuff.
To be clear this car runs smoothly and it's mostly tuned to base 9psi. This engine hasn't been boosted beyond 9psi at all. Take it to the dyno and the ecu/wideband will let you tune the fuel automatically. The only issue is the thermostat which I don't completely trust which has stuck twice on warm up out of the last 10 drives.
I listed everything I could think that needed attention to make sure there would be no surprises when you got here. If I had a garage and all my tools I'd likely not be selling it. I just give it a little attention and then drive it a couple times a year. However, I live on a sailboat and I'm frequently not even in Seattle any more. And I plan to just sail away at some point if the world goes exactly right or exactly wrong.

edit - OH!!! Salvage title.... I missed that part... ugh... well, if you're not looking to sell the car and are just looking for an impressive weekend car to impress your friends then I'd still take this car seriously at this price.
