Description:

93RX7 touring model.1st US production run, original NT paint vintage red exterior, black leather interior, manual transmission, optional Touring package includes Bose Acoustic Sound System, sun roof, etc.. Original  engine provided for high performance using Japanese 97 octane fuel which caused periodic stalls under certain conditions. Mazda (replaced?) (reprogrammed?) the computer for US 93 octane fuel. This also caused a degradation  in the advertised acceleration rate of 4.9 to 5.0 seconds, Afterwards, the engine ran very smoothly and still does.

>Over the years, the following have been replaced:

  • battery
  • tires
  • coolant container
  • two belts
  • front window windshield wipers.
  • All other components are original.  The car has been driven and maintained with love.
> NT paint. When Mazda introduced the 3rd generation RX7 to the US market, they developed a new paint, called NT. t was brilliant and durable. It was brilliant and still is. Unfortunately, it proved be very brittle and was discontinued after the first production run. My RX7 was also a victim and suffered a tiny chip on the front left fender. I tried to get some touchup paint from the dealer and was told that none was available. In fact, there was no mention of NT paint in the computer. I refused to replace the paint with the replacement paint. This tiny chip still exists on my car as a badge of honor. It was then I realized what rare RX7 I had that had so few cars that Mazda did not support them.

> The following are also available with the car. All are in mint condition:

> Owners manual

> Quick Reference

> Warranty Information

> Audio antitheft system

I would hope to get that much on my FD. You may have better luck on Bring A Trailer. Last FD I saw sell was for about $49k.

$75k seems about right. The car was obviously well kept. I mean he changed 2 belts plus the coolant container before putting it up for sale, so it's definitely been gone through by a rotary mechanic after sitting in Connecticut with no records of oil changes since the 90's

If you're gna ask a premium price for a premium car, the pictures have to match. Pay someone in your area to take pictures of the car. The photographers are extremely talented these days and they'd do 1,000x better than this in 10 minutes.

This thing is B-E-A-utiful. Agreed on the pictures not being good enough to represent the car. A video of it being started, showing interior, etc. would be helpful too.

Would be good to get pictures of the recall stickers on the driver door jam, pictures of under carriage, engine bay, cold and hot start videos, compression test, photos of all records, etc. As is we don’t know anything about the car other than it has low miles, but plenty of low mile cars sit, their injector o-rings rot, their engine water seals rot, and a hundred other things can have rotted as well that would cause a nightmare, so please show a little more detail. No need for slimy used car sales talk like “rare 93 RX-7” it is literally the most common color and year RX7, or trying to dress up the description with fluff. This is an inquiring and knowledgeable group you are marketing to here, we know rotaries so just give the details to support the asked price. Thanks 😊
