Mazda RX-7 1992 - 2002
Description:

Bought this to install in my car, but making the OEM kit work with the aftermarket system wasn't the route my installer wanted to take.  As a result, I'm listing this up here for sale. Bought brand new from Japan. Kit is complete.

I have not seen this before. Do you have any details on how to complete the install?
Thanks

There's a write up on the forums, i think someone retrofitted it to work on a LHD FD. This is an OEM keyless entry for Series 7/8 FD's and works on the RHD FD fine but does need some work to work for a LHD car.

On that note,
Has this kit been retrofitted to work for a LHD FD? If it has, i am interested.

There is a writeup on the forums, and I know one of the members got it working in a LHD FD fairly easily I believe. The kit is untouched, aside from opening it to take the photos.

What a good deal, what aftermarket system is stopping you from installing? Especially since your car is RHD.

I was talking it over with the installer, and he determined the equipment was already there. So he decided in my case (whole security and remote start install) it would be more simplified to just utilize what was already present than remove and reinstall basically the same component for no reason. So rather than hoard the kit (which I'm likely to do) I figured someone else could make use of it. I opened it to take the photos and that's it.

But for anyone curious, my aftermarket system install went off without a hitch, works absolutely perfect. I don't believe he ran into any wiring differences, and my car is a late model 95.

Does the kit come with the remote (key fob)?

I don't know how I missed this post. Yes, the kit comes with the fob as well as everything else, it's entirely complete.
