Good to be cautious. For a small amount what is the issue for people? Sounds suspicious.
Checking trading history and history of posts.
This gives a good indication of who you are dealing with.

good point. i forgot my pw on my old account. joined in 02ish. i definitely was thinking that ive done a lot of buying and selling here over the years. but i forgot that i have another user name now.
