Note: I has been pointed out to me that the console actually has six posts (hopefully still there).

If needed, orders of six clips will be $22.50 (shipped).

Note that the manual explains when lifting the centre cover, to lift from the back end. Lift about 1/2 inch and move forward gently to release the side clips. When you have the sides up about 1/2 inch, lift the front straight up to release the front positioning pins (which are usually long gone). After that, tip to one side to release the switch connector plugs. You might leave the plugs plugged in as you can likely mount the clips without disconnecting. (likely good to unscrew the shift ****. Good luck.

While you have the centre part up,maybe replace the anti squeak tape (everywhere).

From a Japanese tuner magazine, how to remove the upper center armrest panel. Seems they start on the side. But nevermind.

Read right to left, top to bottom.
