Description:

1988 RX-7 S.E. 5 Speed transmission with manual steering. The air conditioning, power steering pump, air pump, emissions, and just about all the accessories have been removed. The oil metering pump and the 5th and 6th port actuators have been removed as well. I still have the OMP and the actuators. It has the factory exhaust and an aftermarket long tube header into a single 3” tube with muffler is currently installed. A new in box Crane Cams FireBall HI-6 ignition and a second hood, that I believe is aluminum (non-turbo).

I have installed the Atkins serpentine belt with pullies and thermal pellet. An electric fan, with relay. The rear hatch glass broke so I installed a piece of plexiglass for the rear hatch.  I recently removed the fuel from the gas tank and installed fresh non-ethanol premixed gas. The interior is clean but does show signs of its age. The engine is a Mazda reman with unknown age and mileage, but I changed the oil recently. I have owned the car for about 5 years now and maybe put 100 miles on the car. I also believe that the coolant seals may be weak. The coolant hoses become hard when the car is running. I have a copy of a clean vin search and the title as well. There are many other little things and would be happy to answer any questions. This is a great car to become a race car. I just don’t have the time or the space to perform the task needed to convert the car into a NASA, SCCA, or chump car.

Interested in your fc

Hey,

I'm looking to get a little more info on your fc, does it run and drive currently? Also, would you be willing to ship the car on flatbed if we can come to some agreement about it?

Thank you,
Ethan

The only issue that I'm aware of is the coolant hoses getting firm while running. It's a new issue and the cars has not been driven after I noticed it. The add coolant light comes on when started and that is a new issue as well. There is coolant in the system and is full. Could be a bad sensor, but haven't checked it. It's a 32 year old car. I'm sure it could use new suspension and bushings but they still work. Could work something out on shipping, but I would prefer pickup.

I currently don't have it on jack stands. There is a sell pending. If they don't show I will post some.

Update on add coolant light. It was a little low.
Firm radiator hoses, found the over flow was restricted.
Added coolant and removed restriction. Test drove for about 1.5 miles and no more light or firm hoses.
