The work goes on 1987 FC3S 13B
So I'm a couple months into slowly learning about and grooming my 87 FC3S 13B
So far I have tuned up, replaced Fuel pump, replace Exhaust from converter back,
wet sanded body (oxidation was ridiculous) rubbing compound (Don't use Turtle Wax rubbing compound EVER!!!) first time I used Turtle and it left haze every where it touched after completely wet sanding again this time having to be extra careful not to rub away clear coat removing that turtle crap I use Meguiars compound & polish and it brought back to pretty good condition.
Now I am installing K&N High Performance Universal Air intake filter!
Is there anything I need to know that is out side of standard procedure for this?
I have done before but I am noticing a pattern with my Rx-7 little extra information/steps for doing just about everything.

Is it a Drop in filter or a "cold air intake system"?
For the Money, just drop a K&N in the stock air box and call it a day.
Cold air intakes should be done "properly".It's not just a Cone filter and a shiney pipe!
If you would like to know more on that then the Subject has been Beaten to death by Japanese Ninjas..the remains can be found in the Specific section and Acrchives!
