Exclamation Wire short? Help!

Okay so to give you the low down on what's going on I took my rx7 to a rotary "expert" and he does all the electrical things too soo i took my 87 rx7 in there to fix a few thing all those things came out fine i also had him check my gauges becuase none of them were working he somehow got them working but there was no fuse in the 7.5 meter fuse which i think is for the gauges ? I'm not to sure but I put a 7.5 in there it worked for a second then i left came back to my car and started it the fuse blew? only my speedo works ive tried 15s and a 20 both blew so i don t know if i have a short or not
Also The Kid before me rigged some speakers into the car under the guages and under the glove box could the short be from that ? should i try and fix this or just play it save and take it some where?
Thanks in advance.

Could you explain your problem more clearly? What year is the car? Does the fuse blow (and is it the Meter fuse or not) w/key to on, start or when driving?
