MN Will this work

Just wondering. On my 84 GSL-SE with egi if the air intake tube between the mas and throttle body can be shortened? Will this effect the way it runs? I just want to use the long tube and not the shorter one. Thanks

It's no problem.

Just make sure to keep the AFM level. And also, you're going to want to isolate that filter from the engine bay so it doesn't just suck in heat.

Thanks AC, It's temporary till i can find one of these. 2 of the bolts that hold the air box on broke when I dissembled it to fix some corrosion. If it's snappier without the air box, then i will have to find a way to put the air cleaner out in front of the radiator. Also i deleted my air con and air pump and was wondering if there is a thread on here detailing witch wires and vacuum lines i can delete. the twin belt setup that i found on here should work great and only cost 6 bucks. The full exhaust and block off plate for the air valve, along with engine and tranny mounts are on the way from Racing beat.
