Will a stand alone fix my problems
Hey my name is chaz just got a 93 efini its sick but of course it started to run in limp mode and started to backfire real bad. i loose all power right when the turbos start to spool im not and expert and new to the whole rotary engines. how ever i had the same issue with my 07 wrx and it was that the blow off valve popes off. i have also had a 87 supra with the 2jz and had the same symptoms and i never got to figure that one out it was given to me and caught on fire. i have had a lot of luck with stand alone ecu but like i said i don't know the kind of personalities that these cars have it sounds like they go in to limp mode if you cough wrong in the car but the question i have for you is will a haltech system bypass all off these silly sensors that makes these cars run like crap all the time?

If the car is being put into limp mode, there will be a very good reason. A standalone won't fix whatever is broken.
Pull engine codes and figure out what it is: http://www.banzai-racing.com/FD&S5_error_codes.htm.
