Will an 84-85 Instrument Cluster be compatible with my 82?

My first car, a 7, was a 1984. My car now is an 82 Rx7, and I need a want a cluster where the MPH goes above 85, not that I *ever* speed. My question is as the title is, will an 84-85 cluster be compatible and work? Also, my lights for the cluster have died or something similar, and I have to use some crappy rig to be able to see at night, would a new cluster fix this, or are the lighting mechanisms just behind the cluster now? Thanks in advance!
