Wide Body or Fendor Pull?

I am wondering which would be the best method to get more fitment on an old FB, widebody or fendor pull? I am quite scared to try pulling the fendors due to my 7 being previously painted with cheap paint that has began to chip and peel along the rust holes at the bottom of my fendors. Also I have been unable to find any wide body kits, I was thinking about one with hardware showing.

I think it would be a matter of money, don't you think? Wide body seems like it would be a lot more money rather than the cost of getting your fenders pulled.

Sounds like you talked yourself out of widening the fenders. There are cheap widebody kits, and then there are poorly executed fender pulls/rolls. It really depends on your budget. And how much you're willing to deal with a rusty fender. Don't worry about the current paint since you need to paint again regardless.

Depends on wheel width/offset too. How wide you wanna do. Pull is good for not too extreme. But it should be repainted anyways, those cheap jobs chip very easy.

It all depends on what you are doing with the car... Do you need that extra 1/2", are you wanting to run 8" 9" 12" wide wheels? Its a big difference between fender pull, flares, and wide body. What works best should be more important than just looks. Imho.

For a little extra room I guess a pull and a roll are good but once you get to a point it will look hacked. Wide body is the correct way to do it IMO if you need more than an inch or so.

Really depends on your taste. Fender pull will maintain the body's original body lines while providing a much more aggressive stance. Wide body almost makes the eye forget what the stock body looked like and just view it as a wide car. I prefer fender pull IMO.

Old 240z flares can be made to fit the fb fairly easily. Here is a link to a few of them.

Find someone with a fender puller and roll and pull the fenders body kits look ew in my opinion most of the time. It juust gnarly in a good way haha plus, like someone posted, if it's budget, pull them. Daily =pulled fenders.

I've also been asking myself the same question. I have a wide body kit and although I have the kit I believe that to accent the natural attributes of the FB I think that fender flares are the way to go. Fender flares add that aggressive stance without compromising the functionality that a widebody kit I feel would. My widebody kit is fiberglass and it has its advantages such as it is repairable where as a kit of duraflex isn't so unless you like using zip-ties.
