Where spacers for 1985 Gsl se??
I just recently put some 215/60/r14 bf goodrich letters on my 1985 Gsl se. the inner tires up front rubs shock assembly bad. Rears are fine. Can i just put spacers on an put wheels back or do i need longer studs? Ive read that 205 was the largest you could put up front. An some say wheel studs are too short to use spacers. What are my options here? The tires look great an i want to keep them just don't want to burn a hole in them driving lol

as far as the spacers go, from what i remember when i had SE stuff on my '83, there really wasn't much thread showing on the stud when the wheel was torqued down, so for the sake of safety, i would think you probably should get some longer studs.
by the way, the car looks great!

i think i'm more impressed by the fact that you found tires that size! raised white letters is just a bonus ....

Thanks man i appreciate it. Im working in it daily. How do i get longer studs in? I heard they are pressed on. What are they pressed to/through? An what would make my tire lean inward on top?? Uper control arm?

this is a Gen 2 rear, but i would imagine the process will be similar if doing it at home.
for camber adjustment, if i'm not mistaken, it's done at the lower control arms mostly, but you can do some adjustment at the strut tower. i never confirmed the strut tower aspect of what i said, but if you consult with the FSM, then you can see if there's any truth to it.

the best i can do for now is to say i think the SE uses the same thread pitch as the Gen 2, and the part number of the studs you posted fits the Gen 2,
_____
EDIT
your last post (20) posted while i was responding to the previous one. the answer to your question is how close is the tire to whatever is it rubbing on at rest, then add something for bulging while it's moving and twisting. if it comes up to 10 mm, then you're good.
