Where to get a reverse light switch for my 91 turbo

Hi, I'm new here and I just bought a 1991 RX7 turbo. I noticed the reverse lights don't come on when put into reverse and I have looked around and can't seem to find a reverse light switch for my turbo. I found one web site and they were asking $170 before taxes and shipping. Is that a fair price or a rip off. I noticed the non-turbo ones were only 40 bucks. Seems like a huge difference in price for two things that do the same thing. I could use some help on this as soon as possible. Won't be able to pass inspection in a couple months otherwise.

If anyone has any great websites to check out or any establishment that would have these in stock and for a fair price would be great.

Have you checked the wiring to the switch? It's not uncommon for the connectors to be forgotten when the transmission is removed. On the tail housing you'll find 2 switches on the sides. One has 2 wires (neutral switch), and the other has 4 wires (5th gear/reverse switch).

Another option that some have tried is opening the switch up to clean it. The contacts can get build-up, which will prevent continuity. I haven't tried this myself, as my switches have always behaved.

Thanks, Ill look into cleaning my switch once the weather clears up a bit over here. I noticed my reverse lights came on for a couple seconds yesterday so it maybe what you said about being dirty.
