Where do I get a 1st gen. exhaust system

I live in the UK. I bought a 1981 RX7, and a specialist told me that one of the reasons for its poor performance is its poor exhaust. I know almost nothing, technically and need help as to what I need to look for and where on the internet to look for it. HELP!

Not knowing what your emissions regulations are in the UK, if any, there is no way to guide you on exhaust possibilities. Do they check to see if the car is emitting a certain amount of pollutant? If they don't, go to the Rotary Rerformance, Mazdatrix or to the Racing Beat websites and read up on exhaust facts. Once you've got ten legit posts on this website, you can hit the 1stgen parts "for sale" board where you can find a buy a 12A "header" for your car...it's just a matter of getting a good muffler company to then put it all together for you. With the '81 being jetted slightly rich in the carburetor, the header will put the engine in the sweet spot for power as opposed to creating a lean situation which might hurt something.

Rich carburetor = too much fuel added per amount of air going into engine.

Lean condition/carburetor = not enough fuel added to amount of air going into the engine..pieces will actually melt in a V8, though naturally aspirated (no turbo or supercharger...) rotaries seem to be much more tolerant.
