hey. i was wondering if there was anyone here from miami?? i am the proud owner of a 1988 Rx-7 convertible. When i bought it, it had a huge spot on the hood that was missing paint, it wouldnt start and the interior had gone to hell. After a few seconds of turning the key without the spark plugs in she fired right up and off the the paint shop i went.. long story short, this car is amazing.. there are a few questions i have though, i bought new defroster vents that go in the dash right up against the windshield and cant figure out how to replace them.. i dont really have to take out the dashboard to do this... do i?

The whole panel that the defrost vents at the windsheild sit in, pops out and you can replace the vents then easily on the garage floor.

Remove the center rectangular cap (pops up) to access the screw underneath. Remove that screw, and then you can pop the whole panel (vents and panel and all) up.

 

where were you able to get the defroster vents? mine have totally dissenegrated and can't find new ones please help.I usually use Black Dragon Auto but they don't have them in catalog.
