IL what is the spec for fuel pressure on my set up?

just replaced used engine with new fuel system set up..

got new secondary fuel rail with 1600cc injectors also got new 280lph pump from denso.

in this case what's the reading on fuel pressure? i got aeromotive fuel regulator with gauge(oil in the glass) it's reading 20.. seems too low too me..

i heard i should not use gauge with oil in it.. is it true??

my idle is little bit up and down.. is it cause of my fuel pressure is too low?
if i rev up few times sometimes my idle got better and steady...
please let me know masters~~ thanks a lot!!

Adjust your fuel pressure. Set your static pressure (without the engine running) to 35 PSI if the Aeromotive will go that low. I think the lowest many of them go is 40 PSI.

Just jumper the pump so that it runs, and adjust the pressure regulator.

Did you remove the jam nut from the regulator? As you turn the screw (it takes a few turns) does the pressure go up and down?

Maybe you have a clogged fuel filter.

I don't know anything about the Profec...That's a boost controller, right?

Fix the fuel pressure issue first.

Fuel pressure is good around 40psi.

you can use any gauge that reads the range the Fuel Pressure is set at.

Depending on how much control you have with tuning, there are many ways to tune your Idle.
