what should i do to my 13b

I'm about to pick up a 1986 rx7 with 96k miles it's pretty solid engine. Can someone list some good maintaing techniques for a rotary. I want to make it live aslong as possible at least so I can turbo it.

i) warm it up.. not sure how important for the later model engines, but hey, can't hurt.

ii) don't over rev it.. first rotary? you'll be doing 8,500rpm and not know it if you're going by feel and are used to the cacophony of a piston engine.. as much as they love a a rev and are super smooth doing it this is when a lot of the damage is done.

iii) make sure the oil metering pump (omp) thingy is working.. lube to the combustion chamber and seals is provided via oil in the fuel, it's taken from the sump oil and tossed in at the intake manifold. some folks ditch the omp and put premix in the fuel tank.

iv) regular oil changes. rotary's love their oil. as well as 'iii' above, wiser folks than me can explain why.

v) regular drives.. keep those seals moving.
