NV What Exactly Is My Rotary Called?
I'm new to the scene, and I see all of these terms used: FC, FB, S5, 13b, etc. My buddy tole me I have a S5, but I don't know the body type. I also know i have a 13b motor (only because it's on my manifold cover). What does this all mean, though? How many motor, body, and model types are there?

There are lots of acronyms and it gets even more confusing when people are combining parts.

Read through the second gen FAQ and it will help you out.

S4 is an rx7 between 1986-1988
S5 is an rx7 between 1989-1991
13b is 1.3L

Sometimes people on this forum tend to be harsh if you ask questions that are generally common sense to the rotary scene.

Don't take it personally if they do.

Feel free to join us some Friday night, thats when we have out local meets this past week we had an R100, SA, FB's S2 & S3, FC S4 & S5 as well as FD's S6 oh and RX8's... also possiable to show up as they are local Rx3, Rx4 & Repu ... probably coming online by the end of the year a Rx5 Cosmo ....

Personally I feel seeing the cars and next to each other is the easiet way to learn the differances

Thanks! Shortly after I posted this, I saw the thread in the FAQ section. Very informative. I'm going to give this site a thorough once over before posting anything else.
