What is this? (electronic grounding possibly relay looking thing)

I found this, well my dad actually saw it first, in my engine bay. It looks to me like something that is supposed to be a ground or a relay but it was loose, you can tell by the picture it is near the oil filter. It's a 1990 convertible.

What I'm looking to find out is what it is and where it should go.

It is a condenser for the oil pressure gauge. It originally was attached to the clutch slave cylinder, but you can bolt it to any good ground point.

A lot of cars have them missing without any issue.
