Your description of not wanting to start all the time. We need more info as to what that means, does the starter start spinning faster and the motor has no compression? Does the starter not turn over? What?

Does it crank at all?? If not, I would check your battery, grounds, and especially your starter ground. If it does crank but does not start, check your plugs, plug wires, see if you have fuel, etc.

It's a rotary.. As long as I've known rotories, the words hard to start come to mind.. Mine usually floods quickly and without warning haha

Take the battery to a sparky and get it load tested, very possibly a faulty battery. If that checks out all right then next you would look at starter itself, ignition switch... the list goes on sadly

Starter switch? Are you talking about the starter solenoid?

It might be like mine where it floods after running it for a while.

Give it a few minutes after you've ran it and try starting it.

By starter switch he means ignition/key switch. If starter clicks (maybe once or many times) then your switch should be fine so long as it does the same thing all the time. If you have absolutely no live feed coming from starter wire at ignition it could be faulty switch.
