i just picked up one and its looks as if the paint is cracking off of it. i wanna sand it off with like some 800 wet sand. but i was told only to use a scotch pad to plastic parts. cause if your score them with sand paper youll never get a smooth paint job on it

 

I'm no painter,But I believe that the paint should be mixed with a flexing agent.Regular paint will crack under stress on a rubberized plastic part.That is the Problem when someone just shoots the car with the same paint.
Bend the bumper and it cracks.

 

600 dry sand before paint. Flexible bumper primer on spots that cut thru to white. Paint away

 

Poly-flex if you need filler. Sand prime paint

 

Or I should say block, prime, block, paint

 

hey thank you soo much. now to think what color i should paint it. i wanna keep the nice dark red or maroon inside. i was thinking white with red flake or red pearl added. what do you guys think.
