Welding to frame?

Welding to frame?

Can I weld to the frame to put a rad surportor or am I going to fry things(pfc and stuf)?

yes you can weld to the frame. as a matter of fact, I cut out the lower frame support and welded in a better one that is better located to support my radiator. Juist make sure you clear the area as welding can catch chit on fire sir. ask my interior how many time sit cautght on fire while welding in the roll bar

Disconnect your battery + and - posts and ground the welding cable to the piece you are welding into place ( this prevents power from the welder traveling through the car body as the power will travel the shortest and easiest route ). there should be no problem . Gerald m.

Yeah I was always told to disconect bat. And put ground clams either on the part or close to the part u are welding on.

Just remember though that a Solid mounted rad is not going to be the best way to mount it.
The frame flexes a bit and the coolant passages in the rad can only take so much flex.
If you can secure the rad with rubber grommets around the bolts to absorb some flex and that will take care of it.
