Weber carb

I have a 1979 RX 7 with a weber 48 Ida carb on there. I put a new performance fuel pump and now when I shut the car off, fuel keeps flowing into the intake when I shut the car off. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem ? Thanks

What's your fuel pressure? Do you have a fuel pressure regulator? Sounds to me like your float level is getting to high, check to make sure that the needle valve is working and not stuck.

Weber ida is only required 3psi of fuel pressure,so most likely u will need a fpr to lower it down.adding a gauge will also help.

I did put a fuel regulator but then it started starving for fuel. I had it around 3.5 psi. Then I took it off. I was also told that maybe I need to vent the tank. Because when I take the fuel hose off, there's a lot of air coming out.
