water temp gauge

I don't trust my factory gauge at all.
Would it be okay to just buy one of those cheap SunPro gauges for temporary use or should I just get a good one.
Also.. what is a normal operating temperature on S5 TII

Thanks

The S5 gauge is really bad, so a ton of people use aftermarket ones instead. I've always used Autometer gauges, and have been happy with them. And operating temp will be roughly 180-200*F.
