water seals.............

hey guys i have been offered an fc rx7 turbo with the water seals gone , basically how much will it cost and do i need to rebuild the whole engine ?? Is it worth taking the risk or should i stay well away ? As you can see pretty new to this did search but couldnt find anything !

replacing coolant seals means a rebuild. and there's a 50/50 chance u'll have more than just coolant seals that will need replacing. a rebuild can get expensive, especially if u get port work done.

^^ thanks for the reply , thats what i was thinking tbh dont really wanna buy a car and it be off the road having a rebuild ! Been offered an na aswell so prob just buy the na for now !

And if the car has been sitting for any length of time in this condition, the whole inside of the engine is trashed.
