NC Water jacket chipped....

Well here is a few pics of what im talking about. got the motor out the other day and i was looking it over and found one of the water jackets was well chipped off.... Is there a way to fix this or is it ok to leave it that way. The motor ran fine before i pulled it out.

whole iron, yes.

eh screw it. if you are hard up to not replace the iron:

if you know a good welder it can be welded, run over the weld with epoxy and use a spare short apex seal to bridge it for additional support in case the weld ever breaks.

or

get a .015" stainless steel, form it into a ribbon that fits into the channel and weld the seam. sheet needs to be at minimum 30" long before trimming.
