twin turbo damaged

hello I have a third generation rx7 twin turbo and my problem started when my turbo watches not marked the psi indicated that marked the most was 1 to 2 psi until my turbos were damaged.
Now I want to fix my car and I think it is more advisable to put a single turbo, but I do not know which turbo is right for my car. I do not know if I should buy a to4e or what? do I need to buy a computer to fit or I can install without the computer? I don't know not much about this.

bienvenidos al Rx7 Club.

start with this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...s-t04e-796232/

some of that may be a little dated, but it was best of the threads that came up with a quick search.

also, is there a particular reason that you want a T04E? i'm just curious.

Diabolical you're stereotyping! Sheesh

my problem started when my turbo watches not marked the psi indicated that marked the most was 1 to 2 psi until my turbos were damaged.
I think he's trying to say he realized he had a problem when his turbo gauges were only reading 1-2psi instead of what they're supposed to..? I'm pretty sure Turbo Watches is supposed to mean a gauge of some sort.

well, that's me ... the shameless, racist Antichrist. stereotyping is only a small part of my evil repertoire. thanks, Ghooble, now my secrets are out.

seriously though, for the record, he had written something in Spanish in his original typing, so I figured it would be okay for me to do my "welcome" in his native tongue.

also, good guess on what he meant. i'd say you're probably right. I was able to get the watch = gauge part, but the 1 to 2 psi left me scratching my head. but yeah ... duh! ... busted turbos equal no boost. not only am I racist, but i'm also dumb. I thank you for my future therapy sessions now, Ghooble.

If the OP is considering single turbo, there are a number of choices, but YES, will need a standalone computer. You can NOT do it on the stock computer.
If you don't know much about it, find a shop in Panama...or somewhere, that is. There is alot of work in switching to a single turbo and the computer will need to be tuned for it.

The problem is that we have almost mechanical panama work rotating and know the subject they get to make up to see if it works or not and sometimes these inventions cost a lot

Some will disagree but for the low budget and simplicity. I would installed a 89-91 turbo 2 , turbo, manifold and etc. You won't even have to change the ecu. But a plug and play power fc would be ideal. The car would make almost the same power but simpler...

at the end of the day, what is your budget and what is your goal/primary use for the car? these are the two most important questions right now.

if you're not searching for horsepower, I would think having the factory turbos rebuilt might be the best, cost-effective way to fix the car. no aftermarket computer (or anything else) needed - just routine maintenance stuff. you would simply find a trustworthy shop and order them, send your core and then install them when they get back to you. a copy of the FSM will take you very far with this plan since everything is as it was when it left Japan.

the idea of going single is better for simplicity, but it will require more money up front because you're not just getting the turbocharger. you'll need other things (EMS, intercooler, etc.) and of course, then it will have to be tuned. the other issue is no matter what you call it (unless you get a bolt-on kit) an aftermarket turbo is automatically a project. a copy of the FSM will not be as useful here when something goes wrong.

it doesn't sound like you have much local support, so you really have to choose wisely.

diabolical1 exact ... thought to take advantage and gain a couple of horsepower turbo kit buying my car has a petittracing intercooler, I have all the complete exhaust system a good StreetPort and now that the twin turbo damage I thought I'd take advantage and buy a bigger turbo.
I read a little and realize that you usually install a gt45 turbo to4 or saying these turbo models and what do you recommend?

world of difference between a T04E and a GT45R ... each will give you a different car. why don't you try telling us what you want the car to be when you put it back together. street car powerband? race car powerband?

... then build around the T04 - maybe a 60-1; or if the GT turbos tickle your fancy, then go with GT35R variant. should be nice with your streetport.

look through some of the build threads in the Gen III section and start putting a parts list together.
