Is it a twin turbo?

Hi, hope i am posting this in the right forums

I was just wondering if all 94 RX-7 5 speeds in japan were twin turbos? The reason i ask is cause the guy I am thinking of purchasing the car from swears its a twin turbo, but I've looked under the hood and i see no apparntent turbo's. I'm a noob to tuning cars and turbos in general but i have a good idea of what a turbo looks like or maybe I'm looking at the wrong place? Does anyone know of something i can look for for a defenite answer to whether its a turbo or not? or maybe some pics of a turbo/non turbo engine? I've googled but have no idea if i'm looking at the right thing of if its simply a turbo mod. Thanks for any help on my noob question : p

If I am correct(which I think I am 95% sure) all FD RX-7's came twin turbo.....I tried to find a picture of a stock FD...I could not find one stock to post....I know you don't know, but did he say if the car was stock?? All of the FD engine bays I have looked at, the turbo's were not hidden, but stock they are not really visible to the untrained eye.....Get some pics up of the bay.....Particularly the right side because that is where the turbo's are......

Yes all fd rx7s came from the factory twin turbo. You wont be able to see the stock turbos because they are hidden underneath the airpump and y-pipe.

All FDs definitely left the factory with twins. There are some variation in the twins, but nothing else came from Mazda.

Now aftermarket, there are all kinds of singles, modified twins, and even a few NA setups.

Hm that sounds promising. Thx for the replies. I'm not sure I'll be able to get the car now. One of the Marines in my command got in an car accident this past weekend with a okinawan local, not to mention he didnt have a license. And well thx to him the Battalion commander is declining all p.o.v (personally owned vehicles) request from Coporals and below. I'm still fighting for it, but /w little hope. But in case I do win this fight....

I've been doing a lot of research and I understand that these rotary engines arn't very good after 100k. I found a guy with a lot of "reliability upgrade mods" but I'm wondering at 117k (not sure if thats 117k in miles or kilometers, I'm assuming the latter) if its even worth risking it? Don't want to buy a car, and have it last a few months you know.. : p
