Trying to add A/C in Texas .. help
Hi All, New Member first time poster. My son in law is in Iraq right now with all the other 50,000 non combat troops who are not fighting in the war that no longer exist. 
Anyway I am off topic. He owns a 1983 RX-7 that his parents gave him in college. He loves the car and my daughter, his wife, has been getting lots of work done on it as a surprise for him when he gets home in November. She has painted the car, got the interior redone taken care of several mechanical issues. I have installed a super stereo system. She is just kind of doing a housewife "OverHaulin" if you know what I mean. The one problem she has right now is that since they live in Houston and the car has no A/C she is wanting to get some cool air installed. Thought she had a shop that could do it but they had a problem getting parts and have bakced out. My question is does anyone know where an A/C kit can be purchased or any suggestions that can help with this situation. She has some money to spend but not unlimited. I am hoping one of you can help with this project for one of our nations finest soldiers and one of its neatest cars.

I would check out a scrapyard for a car... Or you can find someone who's removing the A/C from their car.
Did your car come with A/C originally and then it got removed or did it never have A/C in the first place?

No A/C from the factory. I have been looking in junk yards but have not had much success. Have found a couple of complete cars that are borderline parts - fix up cars with A/C but pricey. Thanks for the input though. I am still looking and if you come across one that was my first thought also.
