Trouble Getting Car To Start
Curious if any of you have had this problem. I got a 86 Rx-7 and it was running fine one day and then couldn't get it to start. I proceeded to unflood it like the board says to but didn't help. Its making a high pitch whiny noise when I try to start it. Any idea of what could be wrong with it? The car won't jump and I just bought a new battery for it so what else could it be?

Also forgot to mention its a 13b N/a with a rebuild 8k miles ago. Car is completely stock and I believe its a GXL. Not completely sure. It has spark and I'm pretty sure its getting fuel to the motor just don't know what else it could be. Could it just be the battery or maybe I'm doing something wrong when trying to unflood it? Not sure if it was truly flooded cause I drove it to work and got it heated up and everything just couldn't get it to start when I was leaving for lunch a good 3-4 hours later. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This might help with a car that's flooded> have someone pull of both spark plugs wires of the leading coil and keep just near enough for the spark to jump, then crank it. It creates a better ark. Just who ever will do it shouldn't lean over the metal body parts or any contact with it, might not be pleasant , but I had started flooded cars in minus 20 Celsius by using this method. See if it works!

if unflooding doesnt work, then go for the push start and if still no luck try checking ur coils to make sure they r firing right.if still no then run a compression check just to make sure,i kno its a rebuiild but still
