I have a 88' NA that automatic for now, saving up and still looking for a speed tranny. right now it runs like a gem have no real problems with it (other than the automatic thing) however when its cold and im in drive, it will seems to pop out of gear and my idle will run up to around 1500 from around 1k, then just the same it'll put itself back in gear. i let it warm up for about 5~10 min but will still have the problem.

it only happens when the car is cold but if i have O/D on it wont so i've been running it with O/D on till it gets warm... i plan on replacing the transmition eventually just can't right now, is this a problem? i've asked a few friends and they don't know...

i guess what im asking is, should i be worried? or is something i can ignore for a few more months/year?
