tranny problem

I have a 1990 GTU and the tranny started to grind shifting from fourth to fifth at any rpm, wondering if anyone knows what it is and how to fix it?

Likely a worn 5th gear synchro. The only real cure is a rebuild, but sometimes high quality synthetic gear oil can help.
