I took off the stock nikki carburetor and found this


which is/was connected to this

Now... this piece is found behind and then below the carburetor. Is this an important piece or one of those safety emission collecting mechanism (like the carb canister)

^ Is that amount of rust normal? It's the part connected to the radiator.

Not sure if my 1.1k investment was worth it after all.

 

If you're not gonna keep emissions, all those pieces parts can go. Search 'stripping Nikki'. A to the rust, knock it off with sandpaper and paint it.
