A ton of white smoke???

Hi,

I currently own a 93 fd rx7. When I go to start the car, it turns over for about 15 seconds before it starts to fire. Once it starts up, it is puffing a huge amount of white smoke out the tailpipe. It sounds like a coolant problem but I don't know for sure. Has anyone else had a similar problem. I read somewhere on here about coolant seals, if that is the case, are they hard to do or do I have the tear the engine down to do it?

Marco,

How long have you had the car?
When did the problems start?
What mods does it have?
Mileage?

White smoke is probably coolant leak. In the 3rd gen FAQ thread stickied in this forum, scroll down to the C section and read the various threads on coolant system and coolant seal failure to educate yourself on the topic.
