timing and a few other ?
What would be a safe amount to advance the timing on a non turbo? While doing a search I've read anywhere from 5 to 10 to 15 deg from stock which is 5, but no def answer. Also how much before I would need to step up the gas grade. Correct me if im wrong but should I adjust the idle, then time, and then idle again. Or should I do timing then adjust the idle as long as the timing doesnt let the idle to above 1k?
DO NOT advance the timing by rotating the CAS. This is a great way to blow the engine. 5 to 15 degrees of advance from stock is a hell of a lot. Playing with timing is something that should only be done with a programmable engine management system.
